Blue Spiral Square Stud Earrings — Hand Painted Wood — One of a Kind
There is a particular satisfaction to a thing that is geometric and yet entirely alive. These studs carry it in a cobalt-and-white spiral that winds inward like a thought you cannot quite let go of ... contained, purposeful, and more interesting the longer you look.
Audra painted each one by hand on a small square of wood, the corners softened just enough to keep them from feeling rigid. The pattern is a labyrinthine square spiral, electric blue against clean white, sealed under a glass-like varnish that makes the color appear to glow from within. The backs are finished in a warm metallic gold wash, a detail most people will never see, and that somehow makes it better.
They are the size of a thumbnail. They will be noticed anyway.
