Hi! I'm Audra Sampson, and I've spent over 25 years as an artist because I understand something important: beauty isn't a luxury, it's essential to your soul.
My Story Started With a Calling
I've been a full-time artist since 1997, starting when I was just 18, though I'd been painting, drawing, making, and creating every chance I could since I was able to hold a crayon. Painting and creating have always been my language, my way of seeing the world in color and beauty. Even through college (where I studied History and Anthropology) and into motherhood, I never stopped creating because I couldn't. Art isn't just what I do, it's who I am.
But here's what I've learned over 25+ years of creating: the women who connect most deeply with my work are the ones who believe their homes should reflect their authentic selves. They see something in my work that speaks to who they are inside... bold, beautiful, and joyfully expressive.
From My Lifelong Passion to Your Rediscovery
While I've been lucky to never lose my connection to creativity, I understand what it feels like to put everyone else's needs first. As a mother of three and a wife, I know the guilt that comes with wanting beautiful things for yourself. I know what it's like to walk through your own home and feel... "eh" and "ho hum."
That's exactly why I paint the way I do, with bold colors, feminine touches, with bits of nostalgia, that spark of joy that says "you're allowed to love beautiful things." Because if my art can't permit you to choose beauty, then what's the point?
From My Heart to Your Home
Every piece I create starts with a simple question: "How do I want to feel when I see this every day?"
The answer is always the same: inspired, peaceful, and authentically myself.
Why I Create What I Create
Over the years, I've discovered that the most powerful art isn't just beautiful, it's personal. That's why every piece starts in my studio as an original painting, created with bold colors and unexpected combinations that make people stop and smile.
I'm not interested in making art that blends into the background. I want to create pieces that make you feel something every time you see them... confident, happy, inspired, or just plain delighted to be home. But more than that, I want you to feel excited when someone walks into your space. I want your guests to ask "Where did you get that?" because when you love something that much, sharing it becomes irresistible.
Every print, pillow, and original painting that leaves our North Carolina studio carries with it my personal mission: to remind you that you deserve spaces that celebrate who you are. Not someday when life slows down, but today, right now.

Our very small team of me, my husband, Jason, and two part-time studio assistants make the promise that everything will be created with the same care we'd want for ourselves and our own home. We keep our batches small, our quality high, and our hearts focused on the woman who's going to unwrap each piece.
